LEED Projects

SMP takes our responsibility for sustainable practices seriously. Even when following guidelines outlined by established sustainable rating systems such as LEED® and Green Globes, the best design solution isn’t usually immediately identifiable. Using an integrated design process, with access to technological advances, each project has an opportunity to excel at sustainability, both in the process of design and in the final built project. As pioneers in sustainable design within Alberta, our innovative approach and strong background has allowed us to achieve LEED® certification on numerous projects. Minimum energy performance, optimization of energy performance and controllability of systems will be closely monitored by team members. Proven “green” technologies and practices will be investigated. If financially viable and acceptable, these initiatives will be incorporated in the design.
