Diversity & Inclusion


In 2020, SMP organically formed an internal Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Committee. Initially inspired by APEGA's "30 by 30 Initiative" to have women comprise 30% of professional members in engineering and geoscience by the year 2030, the D&I Committee's focus has been on gender equality within the firm and industry, with a path forward to explore other D&I initiatives. The D&I Committee’s passion and main goal is to bring awareness and education to the firm, provide oversight on our diversity efforts, and promote company-wide communication on our progress.
