Alim Peerani is a Partner at SMP Engineering, leading the firm's accounting function and championing people-first corporate services across Human Resources, marketing, and administration. He holds an MBA and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), bringing a blend of business leadership, financial expertise, and practical insight into how engineering firms operate and grow.

His journey with SMP began as an electrical engineering summer student from 2001 to 2003, followed by a full-time role as an electrical designer and drafter. After completing an undergraduate degree in business, Alim returned to SMP in 2008, joining the accounting team with a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to building effective, supportive systems behind the scenes.

Named a Partner in May 2020, Alim focuses on strengthening the employee experience while improving the processes that enable great work — optimizing finance, operations, and corporate services so teams can collaborate smoothly and deliver consistently for clients.
