Jamie Folden joined SMP Engineering in January 2026, bringing nearly three decades of experience in the electrical trade and ten years as a Project Manager. Over his career, Jamie has contributed to a wide range of notable and technically demanding projects, including Cavendish Farms in Lethbridge, the University of Lethbridge Science Commons, City of Lethbridge City Hall, the McCain Foods plant in Coaldale, as well as numerous schools, patient care facilities, and commercial developments across the region.

His comprehensive industry background and hands-on field experience allow him to approach each project with a strong understanding of constructability, coordination, and client needs. Since joining SMP, Jamie has already played a role in several unique and exciting builds, reinforcing his passion for innovative project delivery and collaborative teamwork.

Outside of work, Jamie enjoys spending time with his wife, his three children and their partners, and especially his grandchildren, who affectionately call him "Papa." He's an avid golfer, slopitch player, and gym regular. Jamie also loves hosting friends and family, firing up his Traeger smoker, and creating a welcoming space for gatherings at home.
