Neil's bachelor's degree in electrical engineering gives him a strong technical foundation in electrical and systems engineering. His studies spanned control systems, robotics, signals and systems, electric machines, power systems, and fibre-optic communications, giving him a broad base to build on.
Through that work, Neil has developed expertise in modelling dynamic systems, analyzing complex signals, and designing electrical and electromechanical systems. He has also applied these principles to real-world projects, including embedded systems and sensor-based designs that integrate hardware and software into functional prototypes such as wearable sensing systems and data-driven monitoring devices. He is especially interested in technologies that bring together electronics, data analysis, and human-centered design.
Outside of work, Neil is completing an MBA at the University of Calgary with a focus on finance. A lifelong snowboarder and football player, he can usually be found on the mountain or the field, depending on the season.
