Neil has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a strong technical background in electrical and systems engineering. His academic experience spans several specialized areas, including control systems, robotics, signals and systems, electric machines, power systems, and fiber-optic communications.
Through this work, he has developed expertise in modeling dynamic systems, analyzing complex signals, and designing electrical and electromechanical systems. Neil has practical experience applying engineering principles to real-world projects, including embedded systems and sensor-based designs.
His work often involves integrating hardware and software to create functional prototypes, such as wearable sensing systems and data-driven monitoring devices. He is particularly interested in technologies that combine electronics, data analysis, and human-centered design.
Neil's free time is spent working towards completing an MBA from the University of Calgary where he specifically has an interest in finance. He is also a lifelong snowboarded and football player and can be found at the mountain or the field depending on the season.
