Ransher is currently a Junior Electrical Designer at SMP Engineering and a Technologist-in-Training (T.T.), actively pursuing his Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation. A 2024 graduate of SAIT's Electrical Engineering Technology program, he began his career with SMP Engineering just after completing his studies and has been part of the team ever since.

Ransher primarily works alongside Greg and Cory's group, contributing to the design and development of schools, universities, and recreational facilities. He is also heavily involved in short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies — an area the team proudly specializes in — where he enjoys diving into the technical details that help ensure safe and reliable electrical systems.

Outside the office, Ransher brings the same energy and discipline to his personal interests. He is an avid soccer player and often joins colleagues and other industry professionals for friendly matches every other Friday. During the summer, you'll find him playing Sunday games closer to home. He also maintains a consistent gym routine and enjoys exploring local cafés and bakeries around the city or when travelling abroad.

In his downtime, Ransher is learning Japanese and experimenting with canvas painting. Looking ahead, he is training toward an exciting personal milestone: completing his first full marathon by 2027.
