SMP Engineering upgraded electrical systems for Edmonton's DoubleTree by Hilton and Home2 Suites renovation, featuring 345 rooms and the revamped Mayfield Dinner Theatre with enhanced lighting.
The $60 million renovation to the existing Mayfield Inn redeveloped the 40-year-old property into two facilities: Edmonton's first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and Canada's first Home2 Suites by Hilton, an extended-stay inn. SMP was engaged as the Electrical Engineer to upgrade power distribution and provide lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, sound system, and communication system upgrades and services. Together, the DoubleTree and Home2 Suites provide 345 guest rooms and suites and the Mayfield Dinner Theatre, which also underwent a renovation that included upgraded lighting systems.
