Dan Hadash has been in the Lighting and Electrical industry for over 29 years. He has worked for General Contractors, Electrical Distributors, Lighting Agents and now as a Lighting Designer with SMP Engineering's in house lighting design studio.

He is currently the President of the IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) Calgary Section and sits on the technical Committee for Lighting Upgrades. He also volunteers with the IALD (International Association of Lighting Designers) and is on the LIRC Steering and Education Committees. He has recently participated in the revision to the IES document Upgrading Lighting Systems in Nonresidential Spaces (LP-9-26).

In his spare time, he enjoys Gardening, Fly Fishing, Ice Fishing and Competitive Gold Panning.
