With SMP Engineering since 2007, Robin contributes to the design of power distribution, lighting, communications, and life safety systems, backed by 40 years and an extensive background in the management of electric utilities.

Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years with Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) and its predecessor, the Guyana Electricity Corporation (GEC), in key project management and senior management positions, developing intimate knowledge of GPL's operations and leading the construction of 69kV transmission lines and substations. He later served as Chief Engineer and Manager for the St. Kitts Electricity Department. Across these roles, he worked on a number of Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and World Bank funded projects.

Robin is also skilled in conducting engineering studies, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash incident energy analysis, using SKM Power Tools for Windows.
