Robin has been with SMP Engineering since 2007 and during this time, he has been involved in the design of power distribution, lighting, communications, and life safety systems. He brings 40 years of experience to his role, utilizing his past experience in management of Electric Utilities.

Robin’s experience includes 15 years with the Guyana Power and Light Inc. (GPL) and its predecessor company Guyana Electricity Corporation (GEC) in key positions in Project Management and Senior Management. He has intimate and extensive knowledge of the GPL operations and is experienced in project management of 69kV transmission lines and substations construction. In addition, Robin was the Chief Engineer and Manager for the St. Kitts Electricity Department (St Kitts Electricity Company). During his tenure with these electric utilities he worked on a number of Inter-American Development (IDB) and World Bank funded projects.

He is also skilled in conducting engineering studies (including short circuit, coordination and arc flash incident energy analysis studies) utilizing SKM Power Tools for Windows specialized software.
