SMP Engineering contributed to Calgary's Eighth Avenue Place, featuring twin LEED Platinum office towers, winter garden, and underground parking on historic Penny Lane Mall site.
Twin office towers built on the existing site of Calgary’s historic Penny Lane Mall. The project consisted of a 49-storey east tower and a 40-storey west tower and included a two-level podium, five levels of underground parkade, and a winter garden. Eighth Avenue Place received LEED Platinum Core and Shell certification through the US Green Building Council (USGBC). This is Canada’s first LEED Platinum high-rise office building.
