SMP Engineering designed award-winning lighting for Edmonton's Village at Blackmud Creek, enhancing the business campus with custom illumination for a welcoming professional environment.
Located in south Edmonton, Village at Blackmud Creek is an amenity-rich business campus focused on employee lifestyle and retention. The Village is home to a variety of businesses, retail stores, and hotels, including Fountain Tire, Tim Hortons, Kids & Company, and RBC Dominion Securities, among others. The lighting in Building C was designed by SMP and was intended to create a welcoming professional environment — the feature atrium stairway was illuminated in sections with a combination of overhead fixtures and lighting custom-built into wooden panels on the staircase exterior.
