Rahim has been with SMP Engineering for almost 17 years, specializing in healthcare infrastructure design. He earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary, where he grew up, and is now based in Edmonton with his wife.
Rahim's curiosity and collaborative mindset spark innovative solutions that enhance patient care and meet evolving technical demands. This is especially true when he designs the complex systems that hospitals rely on, including power, lighting, telecommunications, fire alarm, nurse call, overhead paging, and other ancillary systems within IMIT environments.
Beyond his work, Rahim is committed to giving back to the community. He has been a dedicated volunteer since childhood and has taken on several demanding roles over the years. When he isn't working or volunteering, Rahim enjoys the outdoors, whether that's a stroll around the neighbourhood, a walk through Edmonton's river valleys, a hike, or camping in the Rocky Mountains.
