SMP Engineering designed versatile lighting systems for Lethbridge's Casa Community Arts Centre, enhancing spaces for dance, performance, studios, and galleries with programmable controls.
Completed in 2013, the $20.7 million Casa Community Arts Centre exemplifies SMP's dedication to delivering innovative, user-focused electrical solutions that enhance functionality while preserving architectural integrity. This multifaceted facility encompasses diverse spaces - including dance studios, community performance rooms, workshops, studios, and galleries - each necessitating customized lighting designs to accommodate various artistic endeavours.
Our approach centred on providing flexible, high-quality lighting solutions tailored to the unique requirements of each area. Advanced lighting control systems were implemented, featuring programmable relay panels and a theatrical dimming system with multi-scene capabilities in the Community Performance Room, ensuring adaptability for a wide range of activities.
This project underscores our expertise in crafting electrical designs that not only meet the functional needs of diverse user groups but also align seamlessly with the architectural vision, fostering environments where art and community thrive.
