SMP Engineering provided electrical and lighting design for cSpace King Edward, transforming a historic school into a dynamic arts and community hub with innovative technology integration.
The historic King Edward School (constructed in 1912) was re-purposed as a mixed-use centre to provide a dynamic and collaborative environment with Creative Commons, Learning Commons, and Community Commons, with a focus on the development and advancement of professional arts practice, social innovation, and community development. SMP was engaged to provide full electrical engineering services, including exterior and interior LED lighting design, IP-based lighting control system design, power distribution and metering design, communications cabling and Wi-Fi access point design, life safety, audio visual, and security systems, including card access control system design.
