SMP Engineering provided electrical systems consulting for Lethbridge's centralized Fire Hall Headquarters, integrating emergency operations, communications, and administration services for Southern Alberta.
Due to increased community growth and elevated levels of emergency calls in Lethbridge’s downtown zone, a need for a larger and more centralized fire hall was required to replace the original Fire Hall #1.
The new, 35,832 ft2 fire headquarters facility co-locates Fire Department Administration, Public Safety Communications Centre (PSCC), Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), Fire Prevention & Investigation Services, and Fire/Emergency Operations. SMP provided full electrical systems consulting services, including communications systems infrastructure, emergency power services, and UPS services for this sophisticated, integrated emergency services centre for Lethbridge and Southern Alberta.
