James Hogan is a senior contract administrator with SMP Engineering, where he has been working for the past 8.5 years. He originally started his career as an electrician and has spent more than 30 years in the electrical trade. A large part of that time was spent working as a general foreman running jobs and leading crews in the field. That hands-on experience has given him a strong understanding of how projects work from both the field and consulting sides.

James takes pride in being hardworking, ambitious, and conscientious in everything he does. He approaches his work thoughtfully and treats the people he works with respect and compassion. He also believes having a great sense of humor helps create a positive work environment and keeps teams motivated.

Outside of work, James enjoys playing and watching sports, especially hockey and NFL football. He also likes spending time outdoors whether that's out on his boat fishing or just enjoying nature. He has also started collecting records and enjoys searching for them. Most importantly, he values spending time with his family and friends whenever he can.
