SMP Engineering contributed to the Jenny Belzberg Theatre renovation at Banff Centre, enhancing acoustics and comfort for diverse performances in an intimate 638-seat venue.
The Jenny Belzberg Theatre project is a key piece in the overall revitalization of the Banff Centre Performing Arts and Learning Complex. Completed in late 2020, the 7,000ft2 theatre was completely renovated to accommodate traditional, contemporary, and commercial performances; film and lecture series events; and summits within the space. Designed to improve comfort and create a sense of warmth and intimacy, the theatre was reconfigured from 930 to 638 seats and features improved acoustics, seating, and accessibility.
