SMP Engineering designed innovative lighting and solar systems for Edmonton's revitalized Royal Mayfair Clubhouse, featuring whimsical exterior illumination and modern interior spaces.
Completed in June 2023, this $16M facility revitalization features a new two-level clubhouse, pro shop, event space, and member fitness area. Our scope included a comprehensive interior lighting design, featuring a blend of decorative fixtures, recessed downlights, glass globes, and accent lighting to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The exterior lighting design enhances the experience with micro-LED luminaires scattered across the entrance soffit and patio, evoking a whimsical starry night effect. Additionally, the clubhouse integrates a 40kW rooftop solar photovoltaic array, designed by SMP to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability.
