The SAM Centre, located in the heart of Stampede Park in Calgary, is a 30,000 ft2 immersive experience bringing the rich history and vibrant spirit of the Calgary Stampede to life. Opening in 2024, this community-focused, 21st-century learning space connects people by sharing over 100 years of Stampede memories through interactive exhibits, multimedia displays, and captivating storytelling. Visitors can explore artifacts, participate in hands-on activities, and create their own Stampede stories. Designed with three core focuses—storymaking, archives and collections, and support—the centre features sustainable elements, a striking "lantern" centrepiece, and offers a unique blend of western heritage, modern technology, and community connection for locals and tourists alike.
