SMP Engineering provided electrical design for Okotoks Arts & Learning Campus, a LEED Gold-targeted mixed-use facility enhancing downtown with education, arts, and commercial spaces.
With Phase 1 recently completed, the goal of the shared arts and learning campus is to enhance and expand the town’s economic development, create a more balanced community, enhance the downtown core, and provide access to quality infrastructure. The mixed-use facility will house Bow Valley College, a library expansion, Catholic School Board administration and educational space, public school space, a performing arts centre, and a parkade and provide commercial lease space. Working to achieve the goals of multiple stakeholders, this project was delivered through an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model and targeted LEED Gold certification.
