Matt joined the SMP team in 2006, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. With his background as a Certified Master Electrician, he provides technical expertise and a practical approach to problem-solving, helping him find efficient, cost-effective ways to resolve issues that arise on any project.

With his even, calm personality, Matt collaborates easily with owners, prime consultants, and contractors to support seamless project coordination.

In his role on the Leadership team at SMP, he has enjoyed mentoring the other Contract Administrators and junior designers. During his off time, Matt is an avid hockey fan, and it's very seldom that he misses a Calgary Flames game. In the summer months you can always find him at the lake enjoying the outdoors, and playing a round of golf when he can fit it in.
