Matt joined the SMP team in 2006. He brings with him over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. With his background as a Certified Master Electrician, he provides technical expertise with a practical approach to problem solving. This helps him find efficient and cost-effective ways to provide solutions to issues that may arise on any project.

With his very even and calm personality Matt finds it very easy to collaborate with owners, prime consultants, and contractors to aid in seamless project coordination.

In his role within the Leadership team at SMP, he has enjoyed mentoring the other Contract Administrators and junior designers. During his off time, Matt is an avid hockey fan, and it is very seldom that he misses a Calgary Flames game. During the summer months you can always find him at the lake and enjoying the outdoors, and playing a round of Golf when he can fit it in.
