Duties & Responsibilities

Impact and Responsibilities:

  • Assist project teams in designing and drafting electrical systems for various building facilities under the supervision of a senior electrical designer/project electrical engineer.
  • Provide design assistance for:
    • Power distribution
    • Lighting (indoor and outdoor)
    • Power generation
    • Life safety systems (e.g., fire alarm)
    • Public address systems
    • Nurse call systems
    • Voice/data communications
    • Access control/CCTV systems
  • Prepare drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare project documentation and coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Attend site visits, reviews, and meetings.
  • Adhere to company drafting and engineering standards.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of related professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year working knowledge in Revit MEP (Revit 2019 or later).
  • Minimum 1 year working knowledge in AutoCAD (AutoCAD 2018 or later).
  • Background as an Engineer-in-Training, Certified Engineering Technologist, Certified Architectural Technologist, or Technologist-in-Training is an asset.
  • Experience in commercial, retail, office, residential, and institutional projects is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to perform tasks effectively and timely.
  • Ability to think and act independently and strategically.
  • Ability to work well in multiple team dynamics.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, team environment with constantly changing deadlines.

  • Electrical Journeyman certificate within Alberta or an inter-provincial seal is considered a strong asset.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of provincial and federal electrical and building codes.

We're hiring: Proposal Coordinator – Edmonton, AB
Full-Time | Permanent | On-Site

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Proposal Coordinator to help lead and support our response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and other pursuit opportunities.

This role plays a key part in helping our team present our work clearly and professionally. You’ll collaborate closely with partners, engineers, and technical staff to coordinate proposal submissions, maintain marketing materials, and ensure our proposals are accurate, polished, and delivered on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As our Proposal Coordinator, you will play a central role in managing proposal submissions and supporting the firm’s business development efforts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the proposal process from initial opportunity identification through to final submission
  • Coordinating RFP, RFQ, and proposal responses, ensuring requirements and deadlines are met
  • Coordinating proposal activities from kickoff through final submission
  • Working with technical staff and leadership to gather project information, resumes, and supporting materials
  • Assembling and formatting proposal documents, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and professional presentation
  • Maintaining proposal content libraries, including project profiles, resumes, and marketing materials
  • Developing and maintaining proposal templates and standardized response materials to improve efficiency and consistency
  • Monitoring procurement sites and bid opportunities to identify relevant opportunities
  • Ensuring proposal submissions align with client requirements and company standards
  • Supporting marketing and business development efforts related to proposal preparation
Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of proposal coordination, ideally within engineering, architecture, or professional consulting environments
  • Experience preparing RFP, RFQ, or proposal submissions
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, especially when managing multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical professionals
  • A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities

What We Are Looking for on Your Resume

  • Experience coordinating proposal submissions or marketing documents
  • Work within engineering, architecture, consulting, or technical industries
  • Examples of managing deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Collaboration with technical teams or subject matter experts
  • Strong written communication, document production, formatting, and editing skills
  • Microsoft Office experience (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Adobe Acrobat, InDesign experience (Illustrator and Photoshop are considered an asset)
  • Experience on the ethical use of AI tools 
  • Understanding of CRM (customer relationship management)
